I am a retired teacher, mentor, and educational consultant with thirty-three years of classroom experience and curriculum development. Listed in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, I was the district nominee for the Kansas Teacher of the Year program and a “Shining Star.”(Peer nominated award) I have received regional awards such as the “Celebrate Literacy Award” from the Kansas Reading Association.
I have been a frequent presenter for state and university educational conferences. I have been a trainer for Six Traits of Writing (Vicki Spandel) and Teacher Mentoring models. Over eleven years, I worked with a thousand pre-service teachers, student teachers, and beginning teachers with an award-winning education partnership with the Kansas State University Professional Development School Partnership.
I continue to work as a teaching mentor and a writing instructor.
